Do you manufacture your own panels?
Yes. As a manufacturer, we can customize each panel to meet the specific requirements of your application.
What is the difference between a standard panel and a Ready-to-install Panel?
A standard panel is a composite panel supplied in its structural configuration, based on proven panel constructions and customizable in terms of thickness, facing materials and aluminum honeycomb core specifications. It is the ideal solution for customers who wish to carry out subsequent machining operations in-house.
A semi-finished panel starts from the standard panel and is completed with structural and mechanical operations performed by 3B LAB, such as edging, CNC machining, hardware installation, frame integration, reinforcements, surface finishing and other custom processes. The result is a component ready to be integrated directly into the customer's manufacturing process or final product.
Can I request a custom panel construction?
Yes. In addition to the proven panel constructions available in our standard panel range, we can develop custom panel constructions tailored to the specific requirements of your project.
The choice of facing materials, panel thickness, core type, reinforcement areas and any integrated inserts is defined according to the structural, aesthetic and functional requirements of the final application.
Are the panels supplied already machined?
Yes. We can supply panels either as standard panels or fully machined, depending on the customer's requirements.
The machining operations are integrated directly into our manufacturing process and may include edging, CNC machining, frame integration, hardware installation, reinforcements, surface finishing and other custom operations. The result is a component ready for assembly or direct integration into the customer's final product, reducing processing time and simplifying the manufacturing process.
Do you produce small series, or only larger industrial production runs?
Yes, we produce both small series and larger-scale production runs.
3B LAB works with custom composite panels, so we can support tailored projects even when they do not involve large industrial volumes. We evaluate each request based on dimensions, layup, materials, required machining and quantities, in order to propose the most suitable solution for prototypes, small series and ongoing supplies.
